Analytix, ITWeb cooperate to promote Global Balanced Scorecard NetConference

Johannesburg, 12 Jun 2002

Analytix, in conjunction with ITWeb and ZAFinance, have announced their participation in a free global Balanced Scorecard NetConference to be held on 27 June.

The NetConference will be introduced and facilitated by Laura Downing, senior vice president of the Balanced Scorecard Collaborative. The event is part of the Balanced Scorecard Collaborative`s Series of Net Conferences, and presents the latest thinking on the Balanced Scorecard and strategy-focused organisations.

The Balanced Scorecard Collaborative, led by the creators of the Balanced Scorecard concept, Drs. Robert Kaplan and David Norton, Inc, is a professional services firm that facilitates the worldwide awareness, use, and enhancement and integrity of the Balanced Scorecard as a value-added management process. The organisation provides education on basic Balanced Scorecard Focused Organisation concepts, through case studies, strategy maps, presentations and live online conferences, hosted monthly by Drs Norton and Kaplan.

The seminar on the Balanced Scorecard topic, "Breaking down organisational boundaries for performance improvement", will be co-presented by South African Performance Management specialist consultancy Analytix in conjunction with its international partner INPHASE Software.

Analytix is a South African professional services firm devoted to the measurement and improvement of organisational performance. INPHASE, developer of the enterprise strategy management software solution PerformancePlus, is a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider that has designed and implemented performance measurement and management systems for over 60 blue chip clients since 1991.

"A large number of South African leading companies are adopting the Balanced Scorecard methodology, in the process of becoming more strategy-focused," says Johan Botha, managing partner and CEO of Analytix. "While cascading measures down the organisational hierarchy from a Balanced Scorecard assists greatly in communicating the strategy and brings performance improvement opportunities, this does little to improve cross-functional performance, eg to address issues such as core process performance across different departments."

This NetConference, provides executives and experts with the ideal opportunity to learn more about:

* How to identify the issues of cross-team performance.

* How to create cross-boundary performance management integrated within a Balanced Scorecard deployment.

* How to measure the performance and model the impacts.

* Learn from real-life case study examples.

Participants can register online for the event at www.bscol.com.
