Analytix scores with COBIT training in Botswana

Johannesburg, 25 Mar 2010

Analytix, a provider of best practice-based information and communications technology (ICT)-related solutions, consulting and training, today announced that it has successfully executed a major COBIT training contract in Botswana for that government's Department of Information Technology (DIT), in conjunction with its local partner in Botswana, Business Online Botswana (BOL).

“The Botswana government has adopted the COBIT Governance Framework and other best practices such as ITIL, Prince 2 and MSP, and awarded the COBIT training tender for 196 students that was issued in early 2009, to Analytix and BOL,” commented Menzies Mmaphisa of the Botswana government's Department of Information Technology.

“The training was delivered over a two-month period at the end of last year and culminated in all the delegates writing the official ISACA COBIT Foundation exam, the aim of which was to familiarise our employees with the COBIT best practice framework.”

“This contract was one of the largest training contracts of its kind,” added Johan Botha, Managing Director of Analytix. “It's always encouraging to see an organisation, especially a government department, seriously concerned with good governance and thus embracing worldwide standards in this manner. I hope this has helped to set a precedent for other similar entities going forward.”
