Johannesburg, 21 Sept 1999

Ananzi, SA foremost Web search engine, has taken a further step in its development as a leading consumer portal by offering browsers a total travel solution.

Ananzitravel will be launched on Sunday 19 of September in partnership with Travelsoft - a leading Internet-based travel reservations and information company.

The deal with Travelsoft follows Ananzi`s pursuit to become SA`s foremost information hub on the Internet by extending its line of information, goods and services to the fast-growing web consumer market.

"What we are doing through the deal with Travelsoft is offering browsers the total travel solution: giving you the best price for your travel needs," says Ananzi`s Business Unit manager Mark Buwalda.

Travelsoft designs, develops and distributes user-friendly Internet capable software for the tourism industry, says Travelsoft`s Clive Hays.

Hays says the software developed by his company enables the client to get the best possible price with which to book airline tickets, hire rental cars or find accommodation for holiday.

"Once you have all the information you need to travel we link you up with a professional travel assistant who will price your itinerary and complete the arrangements necessary," says Hays.

Alternatively users can send through their travel itinery and Travelsoft will scour the web for the best packages.

At any time Ananzitravel compares rates quoted for flights to top 10 international destinations. Car hire and hotel bookings worldwide are also priced.

Given its unique SA feel is a Bed & Breakfast booking facility linked to B&B`s anywhere in the country. Many B&B`s use the Travelsoft system to control their inventory and through dial-up maintain it with the booking system on the web. At only 50 Rand any B&B can become part of this reservation system.

A worldwide destination guide with full restaurant and hotel information as well as information on site seeing tours is included on the site in part provided by Fodor`s Travel Guides.
