pilotfish digital, a leading Microsoft-based business solutions development company, has just returned from exhibiting at CeBIT, the world's leading event for the digital economy.

CeBIT 2013 created a forum for IT companies from around the world to come to Hannover and impress the audience with inspired innovations and ideas. The start-up halls were bursting with fresh inspiration and energy destined to stimulate lots of downstream innovation and business growth throughout the digital economy.

The key theme to come out of the event, and a hot topic debated widely on social media networks, was Shareconomy. Shareconomy is a sweeping trend that emphasises sharing knowledge, resources and experience to create new forms of collaboration.

This is the core essence of the pilotfish business model - sharing, collaborating and streamlining via workflow solutions that enhance and optimise business processes. CeBIT was a platform that illustrated that all sectors of industry have come to recognise the great potential involved in sharing data, resources, goods and infrastructure.

pilotfish was one of 13 South African companies that were selected by the Department of Trade and Industry to exhibit at CeBIT. The South African contingent at CeBIT had one of the most impressive stands at the event and were rubbing shoulders with leaders in all fields of technology, from gaming and business, to hardware, software, new technology and everything in between.

CeBIT boasted a highly international mix of visitors from over 120 nations and a large volume of those were IT decision-makers and purchasing managers. The networking opportunity was incredible, and the pilotfish team got the chance to meet potential clients, possible partners, as well as competitors.
