ONYX IT has successfully completed PC Literacy training for Anglo American security and canteen employees. The objective was to get the users to a level of pc literacy so that they could embark on future IT training through Anglo American`s e-learning platform. ONYX IT equipped users with the relevant skills, thereby, empowering them to take control of their own career paths.
Hennie Muller (Head of Anglo American Security) says, "With most security systems being PC- and network based, it has become imperative for security practitioners to be computer literate. The training provided to our guards by ONYX IT lays a valuable foundation for them in the future development of their careers."
The project also allowed ONYX IT to begin in fulfilling its vision of transformation and development targeted at previously disadvantaged South Africans.
