Schneider Electric today announced the strategic partnership with Anglo Platinum to deliver Ampla, its world-class MES solution, over the next three years.
Schneider Electric and Anglo Platinum have a common goal to develop a leading manufacturing execution system solution for the minerals processing industry.
Anglo Platinum will implement Ampla throughout its South African process division, including concentrators, smelters and refineries. Over the next three years, Ampla will be deployed to support Anglo's increasing production of worldwide demand for platinum and will focus on nine key areas: modelling, event-based integration, operational reporting and analysis, metal balance at plant level, maintenance management and execution, production planning, plant scheduling and blending and material tracking, genealogy and energy management.

Ampla will also support Anglo Platinum's enterprise architecture and will integrate consistently with its SAP Enterprise Resource Planning and Enterprise Asset Management business systems.
