AOpen`s new DUW 1608/ARR DVD/CD-RW multifunctional CD-RW is one of the first to support the latest dual-layer recording technology, writing at a 16x speed and burning 8.5GB on a single disc.
Now available from Rectron, the CD-RW features 2Mb built-in buffer memory, while the single layered DVD+R has a 16x writing speed and the dual-layered DVD+R features a speed of 2.4x. Other speeds include the DVD-R/+RW of 8x, and the DVD-RW of 4x.
The CD-RW is also bundled with Nero 6 and PowerDVD5 software, allowing easy-to-use burning and storing of information, as well as manipulation of audio-visual materials.
"With the increase in storage demand, the new AOpen multifunctional CD-RW is the ideal backup device that allows users to backup file servers, database and even complete hard drives," comments Reon Coetzee, marketing manager of Rectron.
To ensure compatibility, AOpen has also tested and compared the DUW1608/ARR with most R/RW`s currently on the market.
