American Power Conversion (APC) has announced that it will utilise the ECOstructure (EMC/Cisco/Oracle Infrastructure) initiative blueprints to help deliver maximum uptime to customers.
"As an ECOstructure solutions provider, APC will use the expertise it has developed as a provider of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and power availability products to develop new approaches and methodologies, in an effort to eliminate downtime caused by power disturbances and outages for e-business customers," explains Carl Kleynhans, country manager: southern Africa at APC.
The ECOstructure initiative, from EMC, Cisco Systems and Oracle, empowers e-businesses by helping improve and simplify the joint implementation of EMC, Cisco Systems and Oracle`s high-availability e-business infrastructures and providing open access to verified e-business infrastructure blueprints.
"APC`s experience in providing solutions to address significant issues impacting systems availability, coupled with EMC, Cisco Systems and Oracle infrastructure expertise will help to improve the ability to rapidly and reliably satisfy end-customers` e-business demands," says Kleynhans. "APC will use the ECOstructure blueprints as a tool to help instil trust and reliability in the IT solutions of firms entering the e-business arena."
The physical environment of an installation, consisting of power, environmental and security layers, is the foundation upon which high-availability applications are built. APC`s power availability products and services are complemented by precision cooling and management devices designed to bullet-proof this foundation, helping e-business clients reach their business process availability goals.
