Appian boosts treasury BPM

Appian has won a contract worth $10 million from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to expand the OCC's use of Appian's business process management (BPM) suite, says Washington Technology.

The publication says, the OCC, an agency of the Treasury Department, oversees the execution of relating to all national banks, and establishes rules and governing the operations of those banks.

The new contract covers the creation and roll-out of the BPM-based Central Application Tracking System, known as CATS, that will automate the submission and processing of the paper-based licensing and regulatory filings that US commercial banks submit to the OCC, it adds.

Audi Volkswagen selects Singularity BPM

Global BPM Software vendor Singularity has enabled Audi Volkswagen Middle East (AVME) to achieve efficiency improvements, including enhanced management control, lower costs, greater transparency and much reduced paperwork, writes PR Web.

AVME had previously purchased a business process management system from a competitor of Singularity. Despite this, AVME decided to acquire a replacement system to achieve further improvements to its local purchasing system and to increase its quality and control of procurement.

AVME required a user-friendly, easy-to-use platform that did not require programming skills or high levels of technical expertise in-house. It chose Singularity, ahead of several competitors, to supply a BPM system that would be used for local purchasing orders. The company says the system works with their existing Microsoft and other systems, including SAP, and enhances the operating capacity of those legacy systems.
