Apple rolls out staff changes

A report from ifoAppleStore reveals Apple has decided to make a few adjustments to its establishments and the employees in charge of selling its products, says Softpedia.com.

This time the staff will not be differentiated by the colour of their T-shirts anymore, and the EasyPay portable computers they carry around will be replaced with iPod touch devices connected to an advanced scanner accessory.

“The last three months of each year always bring a rush of shoppers to Apple's stores, creating record revenues but also challenging the stores to maintain the 'surprise and delight' that visitors have come to expect during the holiday buying season,” ifoAppleStore reports.

Airline selects GuestLogix platform

GuestLogix, a provider of onboard retail solutions to the airline industry, says Viva Macau Airlines has selected its point-of-sale handhelds and retail transaction platform to accept credit card purchases on all its flights, according to Marketwire.

Dr Reginald Macdonald, CEO Viva Macau Airlines says: "GuestLogix onboard retail technology will make it secure, swift and convenient for our passengers to purchase beverages, meals, snacks and other merchandise onboard.

“The new retail platform will allow us to easily introduce new products and services never before available to enhance the travel experience."

Ed Hardy chooses Island Pacific Planning

Ed Hardy Australia has selected Island Pacific System's Planning solution, along with QQQ Systems' (both 100% owned subsidiaries of 3Q Holdings) retail software solution for installation throughout the company's Australian and UK stores, reports CentreDaily.com.

QQQ Systems' fully integrated retail management and point of sale (POS) solution is a key product in the 3Q Holdings Group's retail solutions portfolio. Doifin and dposit were developed for multi-store specialty retailers.

In parallel with the installation of Doifin and Dposit, Ed Hardy Australia will also implement the Island Pacific Planning solution. Island Pacific Planning is integrated with QQQ Systems fully integrated retail management and point of sale solution and the total system will be rolled out to all company stores over the balance of 2009 and into 2010.
