Companies have a right to expect their applications software to support greater efficiency in their business, and visitors to Oracle`s second Applications Day will be able to see applications software in action at the Oracle E-Business Suite stand, and with partners and customers.
This year`s exhibition, to be held on Wednesday, 4 May at Oracle`s head office in Midrand, will build on the highly successful debut event in 2004, when more than 600 people visited the expo.
"The applications software market is consolidating rapidly, and customers are seeing the benefits of using standardised, integrated software instead of going the `best-of-breed` route," says Oracle marketing manager Johan Bornman. "Integration and standardisation of software leads to greater business efficiency and lower cost of software ownership and management."
Partner involvement has been increased this year, as they focus on industry specialisation and provide added value in terms of business applications and industry expertise. Thirty-two partners will exhibit, representing a range of industries including travel and transport, financial services, government and manufacturing. Technology experts from Oracle and its partners will be delivering interactive presentations throughout the day.
