Arbor takes root with NSS

Johannesburg, 03 Jul 2006

NSS has been awarded the rights to represent Arbor Networks in Sub-Saharan Africa.

From service provider to the enterprise core, Arbor`s Peakflow network behaviour analysis and anomaly detection defends against a wide range of threats, including worms, data theft, DdoS attacks, botnets and more, enabling businesses to harden their networks, and maintain business continuity.

"Arbor provides us with two key products - Peakflow X for internal security and Peakflow SP for service providers," says Lynda Odendaal, CEO at NSS.

Peakflow X for internal security was designed from the ground up as an internal intrusion prevention system allowing organisations to solve the internal security threat. Using Relational Modelling - a breakthrough in network modelling technology - it constructs a network-wide view of the entire network, auto-learning host behaviours to determine which hosts communicate with each other ... and how, Odendaal explains.

"It generates actionable security information allowing network operators to actively defend against zero-day worms; segment and harden the network before vulnerabilities are discovered; and simplify policy compliance while maintaining business continuity," she explains.

Peakflow SP for service providers is currently deployed in over 100 major service provider and MSO networks across the globe, and streamlines infrastructure security and intelligent network operations, while improving operational efficiencies, reducing costs and offering new revenue streams through value-added services.

"It`s a scaleable platform that expands with a service provider`s network, offering new levels of growth and customer care. Combining exceptional infrastructure security and traffic monitoring functionality, Peakflow SP is a comprehensive solution for protecting and understanding a service provider`s network."
