Ardent Software, the data management software company, and Hyperion have signed an agreement to develop a DataStage MetaBroker to facilitate meta data integration between Ardent DataStage Suite, a data integration solution for strategic enterprise applications, and Hyperion Essbase OLAP Server.
The international partnership will be mirrored in South Africa, where Hyperion is represented by Global Technology Business Intelligence (GBI), already an Ardent business partner.
Ardent`s DataStage MetaBroker for Hyperion Essbase will enhance and extend the breadth of analytic applications built on Hyperion Essbase in areas such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and e-business.
Meta data integration between DataStage Suite and Hyperion Essbase will enable organisations using both products to deploy analytic applications more quickly and turn operational data into information that supports strategic decision-making.
The partnership combines Ardent`s technology leadership in data management, integration, quality assurance, and meta data with Hyperion`s leadership in analytic application software, helping customers minimise the time and expense required to develop and deploy analytic applications integrated with ERP, CRM, e-business systems and data warehouses.

The integration of Ardent`s DataStage MetaBroker with Hyperion Essbase will allow users to interact with meta data as it is exchanged among tools, giving end-users the ability to input and transfer meta data across the enterprise to all applications, including the data warehouse.
