Are you credit aware?

Johannesburg, 05 May 2008

MyGate offers a credit checking service through its Credit Aware Division. Credit Aware gives companies the ability to process business and consumer enquiry reports in real-time.

South African businesses are using Credit Aware if they require an array of credit bureau services with real-time reporting to assist with securing business.

The service is non-subscription-based and users are only charged per enquiry. MyGate provides a quick and easy online application process for companies wanting to gain access to the service.

Like most of MyGate's products, no software is required as the service is accessed through MyGate's Web-based customer zone. Enquiry reports are then displayed in HTML with the option to download in PDF or print.

Companies processing large volumes of credit enquires can integrate into MyGate through a simple API that can be used to send a credit check via Web service. MyGate's customer zone also acts as a guide so that all required information is entered thus ensuring the credit enquiry is in line with the National Credit Act.

Credit Aware complements MyGate's Debit Order product as many clients require credit vetting prior to accepting a debit order contract from a client. Dan Edmiston, Managing Director of MyGate, says: "Credit Aware helps our clients to manage their risk, financial stability, bad debt, slow collections and fraud. We know that credit vetting does not eliminate bad debit, but it certainly greatly reduces it."

Business enquiry reports provide information such as statutory detail, subject default, principal / director details, principal / director default and bank report, while consumer enquiry reports provide information on subject detail and subject default.
