IDS Scheer, the provider of services, knowledge, and tools for e-business initiatives and business process performance management, has announced the Aris E-Business Suite, the next-generation release of the Aris Product Suite of business process management and modelling tools.
The Aris E-Business Suite is comprised of the latest upgrade of the Aris Toolset 5.0, Aris for mySAP.com, and several add-on components, including Aris ABC (Activity-Based Costing), Aris Balanced Scorecard, Aris Simulation, and Aris Web Link.
Each module in the Aris E-Business Suite has been enhanced to optimise business and e-business processes. The new versions of each module offer a system that leverages the familiar Microsoft Windows Explorer-type interface.
The entire solution set also incorporates a new e-modelling language, developed by IDS Scheer expressly for the design of Web-based, inter-enterprise business and e-business processes. It is a method for the fast and flexible design of collaborative business environments.

Aris Toolset 5.0
The latest release of the Aris Toolset 5.0 integrates the functionality of previous versions with IDS Scheer`s comprehensive e-business process improvement (eBPI) methodology and knowledge, providing a centralised software tool for users to develop e-business solutions, and to optimise inter-enterprise business processes to support Internet-based business relationships.
Aris ABC offers a tool for activity cost management, enabling organisations to evaluate documented process costs, streamline business processes, and reduce spending. Aris ABC features wizards to help users find the process cost accounting method which best fits their individual needs.
The Aris Balanced Scorecard is a new component of the Aris Toolset. It is aimed at providing a top-level, executive view of business goals and the respective processes to support them. Aris Balanced Scorecard allows users to perform a series of cause-and-effect analyses, modelling various e-business scenarios within the framework of different perspectives, a realtime testing and analysis of existing and future e-business scenarios under a variety of criteria. By identifying potential areas of improvement during the testing phase, users can immediately update their process models, and save time and money in the implementation phase.
Aris Web Link leverages the Web to offer a centralised communications tool, allowing users to access, navigate and update business and e-business strategies across the enterprise. A comprehensive feedback component makes it easy for users to interact with one another, and collaborate on the development of strategic models, creating an interactive work environment.
Seamless interfacing with mySAP.com: As part of the Aris E-Business Suite, Aris for mySAP.com is designed to support the creation and documentation of mySAP.com collaborative business applications, enabling users to accelerate the development of practical e-business solutions based on mySAP.com. Aris for mySAP.com interfaces with mySAP.com, can create individualised e-business environments based on mySAP.com.
