ARIS Process Performance Manager 3.0 available now

Johannesburg, 28 May 2003

The new version of ARIS Process Performance Manager, ARIS PPM 3.0, has substantial additions to allow projects to be executed more quickly and more flexibly.

"With ARIS PPM from IDS Scheer, companies can measure and evaluate the efficiency of actual working processes, improve the quality of the processes and thus reduce their costs," says Jay Kleynhans from Collaborative Process Integration (CPI), value-added reseller for IDS Scheer in SA.

The new version of ARIS PPM can increase your competence with new functionalities such as process mining, analysis wizards and online monitoring.

Online monitoring tracks each and every single process instance throughout the monitored systems and applications.

"Previously it was just on an aggregated level, but with 3.0 no stagnant process will be left unnoticed - important for implementing an escalation management on top of a workflow system," says Kleynhans. ARIS PPM lets you know whether a change in the monitored business processes is increasing or decreasing their performance - enabling the user to make corrections while the process is still running.

The new feature, process mining provides the user with a bunch of new automated analyses, such as ranking, ABC or top-flop analyses to sort out best and poor performers. It also detects weak spots in the processes and gives the user faster results as to where to start with further analyses.

Besides improvements of ARIS PPM 3.0 in terms of performance of the core system, the user can establish PPM as one consistent performance platform for the entire company for providing the management and the employees with all relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) and the current process performance. PPM is capable of importing non-process-oriented KPIs into its process warehouse. According to Kleynhans, such KPIs could be finance-oriented taken out of SAP or legacy systems.
