Arivia.kom captures empowerment award

Leading South African IT company arivia.kom received the Empowerment Award at the recent Top 300 National Awards function held at the Sandton Convention Centre. The Empowerment Award, accepted by arivia.kom CEO Zeth Malele, is awarded for contribution to job creation and the economy, growth and overall quality of performance, export and trade orientation, and contribution to black economic empowerment (BEE) and transformation.

Malele says: "We are delighted with this award, which we see as an acknowledgement from the market that we offer our clients a compelling alternative to our competitors, as an IT solutions provider that embodies the principles of black empowerment. We take our BEE status very seriously and regard the attainment of BEE objectives as mission-critical to the growth and prosperity of arivia.kom, as well as the South African ICT sector."

After less than three years in business, arivia.kom is reported to be the fourth largest BEE IT professional services provider in SA, commanding an estimated 7.8% of the local market. An estimated 72% of assignable business in arivia.kom has been allocated to BEE/SMME companies, and 40% of revenue share of major contracts won in the past year has gone to BEE/SMME companies with which arivia.kom has partnered.
