Arkateq to distribute Grisoft

Arkateq has been appointed a Grisoft AVG Anti-virus distributor.
Johannesburg, 29 Sep 2004

"Anti-virus products are a grudge purchase. It is something you do not want to buy, but because of the world we live in, you have to. We wanted to provide our clients with the best balance between product performance, price, service and overall benefits. With AVG we have achieved just that," explains Thomas Muller, MD of Arkateq.

"This comes at a very opportune time for Arkateq," states Andre Coetzee, the operations director at Arkateq. "Being the local distributor of the AVG anti-virus products adds to our stable of cost saving solutions we currently offer clients. We chose AVG specifically because the licence period is two years and AVG has a free edition for home use," comments Coetzee.

"AVG won the bronze medal at the anti-virus software review for 2004. As already stated, the two-year licence period, free home edition and money-back guarantee of the product are good news for consumers," continues Coetzee.

Arkateq, a Novell SuSE-based company, believes the addition of AVG will alleviate a lot of problems for those customers not currently using Linux. Consumers have been at the mercy of computer viruses for too long. Arkateq believes that through a combination of Linux and AVG, its clients can sleep peacefully at night.
