Right off the bat, it must be said that for gamers who only enjoy playing games that require unbelievable strategic thinking and puzzle-solving capabilities and think that gaming should help develop the brain, Armed & Dangerous is not for you. Rather, this is something for gamers who enjoy mindless, and continuous, action.

The tagline, "There`s no kill like overkill", is justified within the first minute of playing. Enemies attack you and your sidekicks in endless sweeps. Fortunately, however, there does not seem to be any shortage of ammo and health.

The premise is simple throughout: kill anything you see (except penguins, for some reason) before you are killed. The interface and gameplay is easy to master, especially for fans of MDK.

What makes this game stand out is the characters (a robot who is addicted to tea, for example) and humour. You will want to keep playing just to get to the cut-scenes, which are hilarious.

The absurdity is reminiscent of the Monty Python movies and the Monkey Island game series. The storyline is unique and commendable. Lucas Arts gives us no surprise there, as it has always been at the pinnacle of "laughable" and unique games.

The tone of the game is clearly evident in the gameplay as well, with funny comments aplenty and weapons such as the awesome Land Shark Gun - watching a giant shark devouring your mortal enemies one by one has never been this much fun.

Armed & Dangerous comes highly recommended as it is addictive, witty and good to look at. Just one warning, however: after installation, your social life will probably also be 'overkilled`.
