ARMS becomes Symplexity

Resource Management System (ARMS) re-launched the company brand this week under a new name - Symplexity.

Francois De Klerk, MD of Symplexity, made the announcement this morning at a breakfast in Johannesburg.

ARMS was started in 1998, focusing on payroll systems in the corporate and recently, government sectors.

The change in branding was made as confusion resulted from the reference to "arms". The company was constantly mistaken for being a weapons dealer, according InfoSlips CEO Alan Burger. InfoSlips, which focuses on electronic document delivery and presentation, is a reseller and partner of Symplexity.

"Symplexity best describes the simplicity for users, while meeting complex needs of human resources and payroll systems," said De Klerk when explaining the choice of brand name.
