Arrow Altech Distribution (AAD), Africa's leading distributor of electronic components, products and solutions, has announced its joint venture partner, Arrow Electronics, has been named to Fortune magazine's "World's Most Admired Companies" for the 16th consecutive year.
Arrow Altech again topped the list in the "Wholesalers: Electronics and Office Equipment" category based on input from industry executives, directors and analysts.
Fortune's World's Most Admired Companies list recognises companies based on nine "key attributes of reputation," including innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment value, global competitiveness and quality of products and services. Arrow Electronics was ranked number one in each of these categories.
According to Michael J Long, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Arrow Electronics, the recognition by Fortune magazine is due to Arrow's dedicated employees around the world, who are committed to guiding innovation forward for Arrow's customers and suppliers.
