Artec continues to undertake many MS Server upgrades

Artec Computer Systems today announced that it had recently completed a number of Microsoft Server 2000 and 2003 upgrades and installations.

These projects have included an upgrade for EADS, which needed their servers upgraded to Server 2000 from NT4, their workstations from NT4 Workstation to XP, as well as their Exchange servers from 5.5 to Exchange 2000.

In a similar exercise, Artec upgraded the infrastructure of Electro Mechanica from NT4 to Server 2000 and from Mail 5.0 to Exchange 2000 and migrated Brait`s mail capability from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000.

"These upgrades are typical of many of the services we are successfully providing to the local market and elsewhere on the continent," commented Andrew Tucker, CEO of Artec Computer Systems. "2003 has been very successful for us and we expect to be more heavily involved during 2004 in the provision of value-added services particularly oriented around Microsoft Server 2003.

Artec is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and was one of the first certified Microsoft Server 2003 companies in SA. Additionally, Artec is also a Microsoft associate consultant company for Africa as well as a Microsoft Licensing Management Program (MLMP) partner, the latter allowing Artec to audit clients on behalf of Microsoft.

Furthermore, Artec is a Microsoft Certified Partner and thus is a company that can deliver business solutions built upon the Microsoft platform. Through this last program, Artec has priority access to a support team of Microsoft CSEs, non-disclosure evaluation of new products and technologies, as well as planning tools and events on the latest Microsoft product developments and future directions.
