Progress Software Corporation has announced that Artix Data Services has earned the SWIFTReady Messaging Data Services label. The SWIFTReady label programme certifies that SWIFT Solution Provider applications and middleware products support SWIFT messaging services and provides customers of SWIFT services with a demonstrated and verified assessment of vendor capabilities.
Artix Data Services is an open and standards-based development tool for building model-driven messaging data services. The product's Standards Libraries support more than 100 financial messaging standards implementations across 22 standards bodies, enabling financial organisations to maintain compliance with the latest messaging standard, improve organisational efficiencies, and reduce the risk of failed transactions.
Artix Data Services was the first to achieve accreditation under the predecessor SWIFTReady Gold Messaging Library label in 2006, and has maintained this leadership position since that time, culminating in this renewal of the SWIFTReady Messaging Data Services 2008 accreditation.
In addition to supporting SWIFTNet FIN and ISO15022 messages, the 2008 accreditation criteria include support for: service oriented architecture [SOA] deployments, FpML and ISO20022 standards, SWIFTNet MX standards, and MT to MX translations for message coexistence and migration.
"The Artix Data Services technology is a set of efficiency tools enabling our customers to build and maintain SWIFT integration solutions while saving time and money. Achieving the SWIFTReady Messaging Data Services Label in 2008 is validation of our ability to deliver high-quality services for our customers," said Wayne Meikle, financial services director for Artix Data Services at Progress Software.
"We are happy to provide not only an excellent product, but also the reassurance that the SWIFTReady Label stamp of excellence represents."
Evaluated on a yearly basis, the SWIFTReady Messaging Data Services (MDS) label verifies the capacity of a vendor's products to support SWIFTStandards. Evaluation criteria include mapping different data sources into SWIFTStandards formats, validation against syntactical and semantic rules, transformation of the messages between different formats (MX, MT), and deployment of run-time SOA messaging components that can be used by interfaces, middleware and financial applications.
"As a longstanding SWIFT Solution Provider, we are pleased to renew the Artix Data Services SWIFTReady accreditation," says Eric Meirlaen, business analyst at SWIFT. "The product is built to support the changing architectural needs of financial institutions, and this new SWIFT label means Artix Data Services can be deployed with confidence."
