Ascential Software, the enterprise data integration leader, has launched the Ascential Developer Net, an enterprise data integration centre of excellence. The Ascential Developer Net extends existing Ascential client support and professional services through dynamic information and interaction to help the company`s more than 3 000 customers and partners maximise the business impact of their enterprise data integration solutions.
Medstat, a healthcare information business of the $7.8 billion Thomson Corporation that provides market intelligence and benchmark databases, decision support solutions and research services for managing the cost and quality of healthcare, is using Ascential enterprise data integration solutions to speed delivery of services to its clients.
"As a long-time customer, we look forward to maximising our investment in Ascential`s data integration solutions," says Daniel W Sell, director, software development at Medstat. "We believe the Ascential Developer Net will enable us to deliver the highest quality products and services to our customers."
The Ascential Developer Net, located at http://developernet.ascential.com, houses a library of knowledge accumulated from Ascential, its customers and partners - including business cases, success stories, configuration files and code samples - that members can leverage to improve productivity and enhance the ROI of their Ascential solutions. The site also provides interactive forums where customers can share ideas, tips and best practices.
Ascential`s product management and product marketing teams will moderate the Ascential Developer Net, providing suggestions, responding to questions and using what they learn to shape future product developments. The Ascential Developer Net features include a search engine to facilitate navigation, and subscription capabilities to alert users when new information has been posted.
"The customer is the centre of everything Ascential does," says Julian Field, MD of local Ascential distributor CenterField Software, "from product development to crafting support services and tools that help end-users get the most out of their implementation. In addition to providing end-users with information that will save them time and money, this is an additional means of listening to customers, learning from their experiences, and improving service delivery.
"South Africa is a mature market for Ascential," adds Field, "with more than a dozen partners and a very substantial client base. They will all benefit from exposure to the Ascential Developer Net, and I expect them to make a significant contribution to its content."
