Ascentn increases European reach

Ascentn, a provider of .NET-based business process management (BPM) system solutions, is continuing its global expansion with the opening of a new office in Oudenaarde, Belgium, reports ebizQ.

The new office should strengthen Ascentn's presence in the European market and help the company address demand for its industry-leading BPM software solutions, while better serving its European customer base.

The Oudenaarde office will provide sales, consulting and customer support to Ascentn's current and future European, Middle East and Africa customers and key business .

Hyperion expands sector focus

BPM software vendor Hyperion has formalised a channel programme for its more than 700 partners worldwide that are building solutions around its System 9 flagship product, reports IT Business.

Under SolutionsNet, partners can now use Hyperion products within their tailored solutions for vertical markets such as packaged goods, , insurance, , manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and retail. The programme is also flexible to work in other verticals such as the oil and gas sector.

Mercedes Ellison, VP of global partner sales for Hyperion, says SolutionsNet is intended to boost the company's efforts in markets beyond finance, a vertical it currently dominates.

Packaging firm implements workflow solution

Hood Packaging in Canada has purchased Kodak's Prinergy Powerpack Workflow System and its Thermoflex Wide CTP Platesetter to improve efficiencies, reduce turnaround times and improve quality, reports What They Think.

"The Prinergy Powerpack Workflow System and Thermoflex Platesetter give us the ability to streamline our process while delivering high quality work," said Gary Sutherland, GM of Hood Packaging.

"After seeing these Kodak solutions in action at a local label printer, we were blown away by the technology and what it could do for the growth of our business."
