Mike Lowe, a director of ActivateNZ, was elected a general board member of the Association of Enterprise Architects at its recent AGM, held in Copenhagen, says Computer World.
Lowe says there is an interest group of around 110 in New Zealand, and a meeting last month hosted by the State Services Commission attracted an audience of 35.
The mission of the Association of Enterprise Architecture is to provide a global forum for the advancement of the profession and the practice of enterprise architecture.
Crossbeam wins award
Crossbeam Systems` X-Series security services switch received the 2007 Information Security Decisions Best in Show award in the "Best Innovation, Large Company" category, says Earth Times.
This award was given out at the annual Information Security Decisions Conference, which took place in Chicago, earlier this month.
Nominations were reviewed by a team of judges that included Burton Group Security, risk management strategies analysts, the editors of TechTarget`s Security Media Group, and security professionals attending the conference.
Mega International gains Control
Mega International, a French firm with US headquarters in Sharon, has acquired Control Metrics, a New Mexico-based developer of advanced internal control software, says Bizjournals.
Mega Internationals provides enterprise architecture business process analysis, and governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions.
The Control Metrics software takes regulatory requirements and translates them into internal control management methods, allowing a company to monitor and manage audit practices and ensure compliance. No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
