AST-A and ABSA have announced the possibility of a joint venture (JV) that will see AST-A handling all of ABSA`s desktop IT requirements. The deal will be worth in the order of R250 million.
The announcement contains no more information other than that ABSA is investigating the possibility of the JV. A spokesman at AST-A could not give any more details, but said that the investigation should be complete by the end of February, at which time the company will make a full statement.
ABSA is also remaining mum on any further details.
