AST-A expands e-business portfolio

AST Business Integrity Solutions, a division of AST-A, has announced that it is adding to its portfolio of e-business products and services with Entrust Technologies` Entrust/SecureControl. The first of its kind, this solution delivers secure, fine-grained authorisation to customers for Web-based transactions and access to information.

Integrated with Entrust/PKI, Entrust/SecureControl provides automatic and transparent key and certificate lifecycle management. It is a single source, low risk, and well-integrated solution for Web-based transaction authorisation. The solution provides one-to-one Web marketing for users by providing a framework for them to engage in e-business transactions.

Entrust/SecureControl is a role-and-rule based authorisation solution built on a Java/Cobra architecture which enables Web sites to increase scalability to millions of users by removing the requirement for manually maintaining Access Control Lists at each Web server. The solution enables the definition of a consistent security policy that specifies privileges users have and their access to data after having been authenticated to a Web site.
