The JSE-listed AST Group has acquired Plexus Health Solutions, an IT solution healthcare provider servicing both the private and public healthcare industries.
The acquisition is expected to work with AST`s other industry sectors, such as manufacturing, mining, financial services and e-business.
"The decision to sell to AST was motivated largely by the fact that Plexus is now ready for the next phase of growth; the investment by AST will make this possible," explains Plexus MD George Grimes. "Further benefits include the access we now have to additional multi-disciplinary specialist skills, such as management consulting and enterprise hosting."
