AST Workflow & EDMS Solutions has introduced the Ultimus Workflow Suite Version 5.0b, which delivers both a modified Web-based Organisation Chart and an easy to use Reports Wizard to enhance the platform`s ability to build, measure and manage automated workflow processes.
AST Workflow & EDMS Solutions is a business unit of the AST Group and is one of the leading providers of electronic archiving, document management and workflow solutions in SA, with an estimated 50% to 60% share of the local imaging, document management and workflow market.
"There has been a quick and continued adoption of the Ultimus Workflow Suite as the global demand for business process management products continues to increase," says Chris Koukeas, Product Manager for Ultimus Workflow at AST Workflow & EDMS Solutions.
"By leveraging the experience and feedback of their large and growing installed customer base, Ultimus` development team has been able to add numerous new features and make continuous enhancements to the Ultimus Workflow Suite. The end result is a workflow platform that meets the evolving needs of our current and potential clients," adds Koukeas.
Enhancements to the Ultimus Workflow Suite Version 5.0b include upgrades to the Organisation Chart, which is now able to integrate with any third-party enterprise directory such as PeopleSoft and SAP, in addition to Microsoft Active Directory, NT Directory and LDAP 3.0-compliant directories such as Novell eDirectory and Netscape iPlanet Directory.
Ultimus has also upgraded the Reports module by improving its interface with multiple Wizards for each report type to determine workflow status at any step in a process. This new capability enables users to create a Workload Report, a new report that allows managers to see the status of assigned tasks and ensures that all critical deadlines are being met.
