Business & Design Software (B&DS) a subsidiary of the AST Group, developers and managers of the AST National Golf Network handicapping system, has launched its new ASTee-Booking System to lighten the administration load on golf clubs. B&DS currently has over 90% of the country`s golfer`s linked to the National Handicapping System and supplies systems to more than 374 golf clubs across the country.
The new ASTee-Booking system, like most of the systems developed by B&DS, was developed in association and in consultation with a number of the top golf clubs in South Africa. Country Club Johannesburg, Royal Johannesburg & Kensington, and Milnerton Golf Club have all contributed to the finer tuning of the system. ASTee-Booking provides a fully computerised and integrated booking system that avoids duplication and double booking. It interfaces with the club`s financial and administration systems and is linked to other clubs on the network, thus giving easy access to important player information.
Another significant benefit is that the system allows no-shows to be billed easily on member statements.
"The system has been developed to make tee booking easier to administer," said Wade Franklin, Product Manager for ASTee-Booking. "There are three versions - one of which is almost certain to fit the needs of any club," he said. Franklin also alluded to a possible on-line tee booking system in the near future. "When our clients have a need for this service B&DS will be ready to provide it," he said. "B&DS has always used advanced technology to fit the nature of the client`s needs."
B&DS has been developing and supplying golf club management systems for the past 12 years.
