Asus has partnered with Mustek, an assembler and distributor of PCs and complementary ICT products in SA.
In a statement, the companies say the partnership, formalised in April, will grant Mustek distribution rights of the Asus range of tablets and notebooks across SA and other regions in Africa.
The companies add that this partnership will allow Asus to grow its brand presence and customer base in the South African market, while supporting Mustek's strategy to align with the strongest local and international brands.
"This is a partnership of mutual interests, focused on growth, quality and service, and we are confident this relationship will be successful and beneficial to both parties involved," says Jeff Kuo, country manager of Asus SA.
"Asus has seen steady growth in South Africa, mostly due to the popularity of its innovative and award-winning products, such as the Nexus 7," says David Kan, CEO of Mustek.
"Mustek continues to focus on expanding our basket of offerings with premium brands to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Asus perfectly meets the significant demand for world-class mobile solutions," Kan concludes.
