Johannesburg, 01 Mar 2005

ASYST Intelligence today announced that it won the `Gold VAR of the Year 2004` award presented by Business Overseas at its recently held EEMEA Partner Summit in Marrakech, Morocco.

"We are delighted with this recognition of our achievements, especially so soon after beginning to trade as a separate company following the involvement of our BEE partners, CIBER Information Holdings, in our business in November 2004," commented Paul Morgan, MD of ASYST Intelligence.

"We see the award as underpinning our strategic BI focus - a focus that has already involved us with corporates such as Anglo Platinum, Mutual & Federal and Absa Bank."

"ASYST Intelligence is one of our key partners in southern Africa," added Gary Broomberg, Managing Director of Business Objects South Africa. "They already have a solid footprint in southern Africa that has been created through the dedication and professionalism they have brought to the market. We look forward to a continuing and strengthening partnership with ASYST Intelligence in the years ahead, especially with the new opportunities arising from their recent empowerment activities."
