Protekon has awarded the tender for the supply of ERP with costing software to ASYST International, local distributor of Access Accounts. Protekon will use the flagship software product, Dimensions.
Protekon, an ISO 9000 certified entity within the Transnet Group with over 700 staff, is a multi-disciplinary engineering organisation committed to service excellence. Key areas of specialisation are the provision of turnkey railway, port and inter-modal logistical solutions in Africa and further afield.
Protekon awarded the tender to ASYST International based on the fit of the Dimensions product with the Protekon business requirements. Dimensions has a strong project costing component, is user-friendly and will require few modifications before being rolled out to 100 users across the organisation.
In addition to product fit, the tender was awarded to ASYST International in recognition of its strong technical capabilities as well as the complementary references provided by some of its key clients such as Dowding Reynard & Associates and MCC.

The project has already commenced and is expected to go live in the early part of Q2 2004.
