@lantic Internet, the consumer ISP of the listed DataPro Group, strengthened its ties with rugby this week with the announcement of its sponsorship of SA Rugby Legends (SARLA) at a gala evening at Thaba Nchu.
In terms of the agreement, @lantic will be involved with the SARLA rugby clinics, golf days and functions presented during the year as well as a coaching tips section on the SARLA TV magazine programme.
John Allan, CEO of SARLA, commented: "The main purpose of the Legends brand worldwide is to highlight the need to support amateur rugby at all levels. The majority of money generated by rugby goes towards the professionals and has led to the neglect of the amateur code. We focus on the full spectrum of rugby from schoolboys at grassroots level to the veteran players who have played the game for over 30 years for fun."
According to @lantic's Marketing Director, Dederick Venter: "@lantic is committed to playing a central role in community development and programmes such as these are the ideal way to get involved in the communities we serve. In addition, this programme gives us the opportunity to really get involved at both a national and a local level. Our national footprint makes the sponsorship a natural fit and is a natural progression from @lantic's previous involvement with the Pumas Currie Cup team.
