@lantic uncapped Web hosting

Johannesburg, 22 Jun 2012

@lantic, the consumer and small business ISP in the Vox Telecom group, has updated its range of Web-hosting packages to include easy click-to-install apps as well as unlimited Web traffic.

“Most of our clients are small to medium-sized businesses,” says @lantic's Dederick Venter. “They need Web sites, but they can't afford to spend time fussing over them - they have businesses to run. We've redesigned our Web-hosting packages to take advantage of all the technical advances of the past couple of years that make running your own Web site easy and hassle-free.”

One of the biggest changes is the introduction of 'click-to-install' applications, including popular content management systems like Joomla and Wordpress.

“The days of having to contact your Web development company every time you wanted to update your Web site are long gone,” explains Venter. “With a content management system like Wordpress, it takes just a couple of minutes to log in and make the change yourself. Installing and maintaining Wordpress itself on your server was the tricky part, but even that is now easy. It's the ideal option for the small Web site owner.”

For those with more complex needs, Venter says Joomla is a powerful content management system that includes e-commerce facilities.

All @lantic's hosting packages now also include unlimited bandwidth.

“Previously, a Web site that experienced an unexpected spike in traffic could get a nasty surprise bill at the end of the month,” says Venter. “This protects our customers.”

There are no long-term contracts to be locked into either, says Venter. “Our minimum contract period is one month, and our customers are free to change providers at any time. We want our customers to stay with us because we offer great service, not because they're tied to a two-year contract.”
