AST Technology Rentals (ATR), a business unit within the AST Group, has launched a number of new offerings to address emerging needs in the market. The offerings include Blue Chip packages, Ad Hoc rentals and Sale-and-Rent-Back packages.
"Renting IT infrastructure has become an attractive option - capital purchases that burden the balance sheet and strain cash flow can be avoided and expenses are fully tax deductible," explains Dawie Annandale, MD of ATR. "Our new offerings will assist us in customising solutions to the specific needs of our clients, which will allow them to reduce costs and keep up with rapidly evolving technology."
The Blue Chip packages are pure finance rental products, designed for large corporates that have their own in-house IT expertise and that prefer to do their own procurement, maintenance and support, but who do not want to finance a significant ICT base off the balance sheet.
The Ad Hoc rental solution allows companies to make use of ATR`s services in critical or temporary situations when they do not want to invest in new equipment or enter into extended rental contracts. The Sale-and-Rent-Back package allows clients to remove unproductive assets from their balance sheet, improving return on assets while increasing the cash-on-hand to cover priority disbursements.
Other offerings from ATR include ownership options or return at full term, component upgrades and mid-term technology refresh, as well as redundancy management and, as a VAR, direct sales of all the major brands.
As part of the AST Group, ATR can also provide comprehensive ICT-based business services on a fee-per-transaction basis, sharing in a client`s business risks and rewards.
