ATS, a Black Economically Empowered (BEE) company established in 2003 as a Management Consulting firm, have recently formalised their relationship with Hewlett Packard and become value added resellers and implementers of the HP OpenView suite of products. ATS` service offering includes consulting in the disciplines of IT Governance, IT Service Management, Security and Risk Mitigation.
The decision for ATS to include the HP OpenView suite of products in their service offering is based on the fact that the comprehensive solution is designed to focus on and measure the services delivered by IT, viewing the business as a whole, as opposed to just the individual components of the network. This moves away from the traditional concept of Enterprise Systems Management, where operators typically monitor the elements of a networked environment, without knowing how each element affects a service level or what overall impact it may have on the business. HP OpenView has entered into the new realm of Enterprise Services Management, where the service level itself is monitored, with the underlying elements that make up that service linked to it, enabling operators to easily identify what area of the business is being impacted by a fault and enables them to drill down to identify the source of the problem and quickly resolve it, whilst simultaneously monitoring whether the SLA for that service has been breached.
The HP OpenView solution incorporates Infrastructure Management (network, servers, printers and storage), Application Management (packaged applications, operating systems and web services), IT Service Management (IT governance, consolidated help desk, service driven operations), Business Management (business service management).
ATS sales staff and engineers, located in the Johannesburg and Cape Town offices, are fully trained and certified to architect, implement and where necessary integrate the HP OpenView solution into the customers` environment.
