Attachmate announces support for industry-leading J2EE 1.4 compatible application servers

Attachmate Corporation, 20-year experts in legacy integration, today announced that Attachmate myEXTRA! Smart Connectors are verified on J2EE 1.4 to support J2EE 1.4 Compatible Application Servers. Attachmate will demo Smart Connectors at the J2EE 1.4 kick-off event for press and analysts, 26 April 2004, in San Francisco.

This event is designed to showcase the J2EE 1.4 ecosystem - with platform vendors, tool vendors, connector and component vendors that contribute to the success of the J2EE platform. In addition to Attachmate, other participants include Sun Microsystems, BEA, IBM, Oracle, SAP and Borland.

Attachmate will demonstrate how myEXTRA! Smart Connectors capture legacy data and transactions as industry-standard interfaces for use in modern application development, via the J2EE Connector Architecture. By providing a wide range of standard interfaces to legacy data sources and applications, Smart Connectors enable any client to access any legacy resource, ensuring that the solutions developed today will work tomorrow.
