Attachmate, the host access and management solution specialist, has announced its support for BEA`s WebLogic platform 7.0, the unified application infrastructure platform.
Together, Attachmate and BEA will deliver a solution for real-time access to valuable host information and business logic while preserving the integrity of legacy applications.

By implementing BEA WebLogic Integration v2.1`s Adapter Development Kit, myEXTRA! Smart Connector interfaces become standard J2EE Connector Architecture (JCA)-compliant resource adapters that provide controlled access to legacy information via reusable tasks. These tasks are represented in BEA WebLogic Server as XML-based services that can then be consumed by any application via BEA WebLogic Server or easily exposed externally as a Web service.
