Online auction house Aucor.com has joined forces with retail chain Cash Converters to offer second-hand household goods for sale online.
Aucor.com now features Cash Converters, described as SA`s fastest growing retail chain specialising in the sale of second-hand goods, as an exclusive preferred tenant on the site.
Initially, five Cash Converters stores have made their goods available on Aucor.com. By the end of the year, the balance of Cash Converters` nationwide stores will be featured on the Web site, with each store supplying appropriate stock.
"We saw this as an opportunity to make our products more accessible to the public," says Cash Converters MD Richard Mukheibir. "Users of the site just click into the Cash Converters auction mart, and in a matter of seconds they are bidding on Cash Converters` goods that would typically be found in a store."
"The auction is an effective and quick platform for the sale of second-hand goods and this deal will further strengthen the pivotal role of the auctioneer as well as the second-hand retail store within e-commerce," says Aucor director Shannon Winterstein.
The Cash Converters auction mart is hosted within the Aucor.com infrastructure. Users will have access to a courier service after purchase and safe Internet buying due to Aucor.com`s fund-managed Escrow account.
