National auction group and property specialist, Auction Alliance, has outsourced the management of its information and communications technology (ICT), including required managed services and infrastructure management, solely to national network integrator Integr8 IT.
The company has entered into a formal agreement with Integr8 IT to ensure full support of its technical capacity following its decision to centralise infrastructure and create a single national and global standard.
This new infrastructure strategy, currently in the process of being implemented, will enable all branches, located locally and abroad, to benefit from a uniform company standard without any threat to the speed and reliability of connectivity.
From an architecture point of view, Auction Alliance has established a single conduit for technology integration in order to enhance its operational efficiency and lead to a significant reduction in IT spend and cost of ownership, says Robert Sussman, joint managing director of Integr8 IT.
"This partnership effectively plugs Auction Alliance directly into Integr8 IT`s nerve centre and help-desk, our managed services control hub. The client`s IT manager is in direct contact with - and has the full support of the nerve centre, which will allow him or her to access and supervise the logging and tracking of calls and receive multi-level support from the Integr8 IT ITIL-compliant help-desk," says Sussman.
"The service incorporates key aspects such as patch management or the provision of local service patches, thus eliminating the need for site visits, complete inventory and asset management as well as on-demand remote support services," he adds. "This equates to improved operational efficiency and an overall cost saving."
For Integr8 IT the partnership serves to reinforce and further entrench its current offering into the auction arena and property market.
