Unified security leader Ava announced as event sponsor for ITWeb Security Summit 2020

Johannesburg, 19 Aug 2020

Leader in unified security solutions, Ava, has been announced as event sponsor for ITWeb Security Summit 2020, to be held as a virtual event from 25 to 28 August.

Ava Security is unquestionably a leader in the unified security space, and one that fills the gap between cyber and video security with a unified security response to a mix of threats that security and IT teams around the world have to deal with every day, says Angela Mace, CRM and Events director at ITWeb.

“We are delighted to have them on board. As the threat landscape evolves rapidly, and adversaries become more determined than ever, Ava converges and interconnects two solutions to help organisations set up a holistic approach to security, one that is flexible, simple, and, most of all, comprehensive,” she adds.

Nick Maxwell, general manager UK/MEA at Ava, says ITWeb is one of Africa’s biggest publications and go-to for the IT security industry. “Partnering with existing, new and disruptive providers ensures that IT professionals in the region have the most up-to-date information at their fingertips.”

Register now for the ITWeb Security Summit 2020 virtual event, and experience four days of international keynotes, sessions and workshops all for one price. The event will feature over 50 speakers, with all content being made available on demand online. To register, and for more information, please click here.

According to Maxwell, events such as the summit are important for the industry, because with the existing and future changes to the threat landscape and ways of working, professionals with the cyber security industry require a forum to share ideas, speak and hear from new people to understand and drive innovations across their enterprise and the region.

“The ITWeb Security Summit provides exactly this,” says Maxwell.

Speaking of what he thinks delegates will get out of the event, he says: “Learning, networking and guidance – all three are key requirements for any and all IT security professional to progress and develop every day.”

In addition, Mace adds that because ITWeb Security Summit 2020 is being held as a virtual event this year, delegates will be able to access the content from the comfort of their own homes or offices, cutting out travel time, and will be able to pop in and out of sessions as they wish, without disrupting anyone.

“They can juggle work deadlines with the sessions that appeal to them the most, and do not need to choose between sessions as all conference materials and recordings can be accessed online,” she concludes.
