Avaya a leading global provider of voice and data networks to businesses, will present its vision on the future of converged business communication technologies, and the competitive advantage to be gained from effective customer relationship management (CRM) strategies at Dimension Data`s Customer Interactive Solutions (CIS) Conference at The Emerald Safari Resort and Casino in SA on 27 and 28 February.
The CIS conference, of which Avaya is lead sponsor, is expected to draw a broad range of attendees from SA`s financial, health, transport, retail and mobile market sectors.
Presenting on the first day of the conference on 27 February at 3.45pm, Anil Srivastava, Vice President Channel Management, EMEA said: "We are seeing a real acceleration in the deployment of business communications platforms in SA which is fast becoming the new `hub` in the expansion of technologies to the rest of Africa. This is particularly prominent in the financial services sector where we are providing CRM solutions ranging from intelligent call routing systems and interactive voice response (IVR) and recognition systems, through to the latest virtual call centre and Internet contact centre technologies. Our aim is to pioneer the integration of intelligent communication applications to provide seamless connectivity and workflow management between people and information, as well as to support a company`s business essentials such as cost control, security, mobility and return on investment."
In the IP Telephony sphere, Avaya will describe its Enterprise Class IP Solutions (ECLIPS) portfolio, which enables businesses to fuse their voice and data systems into one highly reliable, robust and feature rich IP network, thereby permitting individuals to exploit new applications as well as access files, e-mail, browser, fax and voice mail messages from any location.
The company`s role in providing Unified Communications solutions, which enable businesses to work smarter and capitalise on their network investments will also be conveyed through discussions of Avaya unified messaging, video conferencing, Web collaboration and portal technologies.
"Avaya is delighted to be a lead sponsor and present at this event, which aims to demonstrate the advantages that can be obtained by deploying next generation communications networks and software applications. These will enable businesses in SA to put their customers at the heart of their organisations," added Alain Schram, Avaya`s Managing Director, South Africa.
Speaking on behalf of Dimension Data, Andrew Briggs General Manager CIS, highlighted the rationale for partnering with Avaya. "As organisations struggle to consolidate their channels to market and architecture, they are looking for technology which provides holistic solutions as opposed to having to work with numerous technologies and the associated integration. Avaya has demonstrated its ability to provide integrated CIS solutions which is clearly aligned to Dimension Data`s market offerings."
