
Aviva modernises HR with pan-European system
Aviva is rolling out a new pan-European HR system that will enable the insurer to grow into new international markets with its 'Aviva in a box' technology, says People Management.
Andy Moffat, European director of HR, explained that the Workday system was introduced to modernise the function across Europe and replace 112 different HR systems.
It is part of wider cultural and structural changes at the insurer to bring consistency and improve efficiency across its many businesses.
Datatel simplifies applicant tracking
Datatel, a software and services provider for education, will soon be offering integrated functionality for its higher education HR application to provide applicant tracking management, says Campus Technology.
The company has teamed up with PeopleAdmin, which sells a Web-based service that allows organisations to automate their hiring processes and lets users involved in the HR process to collaborate.
The partnership will allow users of Datatel's Colleague HR to reduce recruiting activities through automated importing of selected job candidate information gathered in the PeopleAdmin 7 applicant-tracking software.
Pioneer Group selects UltiPro Workplace
Ultimate Software, a provider of unified human capital management (HCM) software-as-a-service solutions in North America, says Pioneer Group, an operator of Bronco Billy's, Buffalo Billy's, and Billy's Casinos, has selected UltiPro Workplace, writes TMC Net
The move is to accelerate and streamline the HCM and payroll processes for its casino companies.
According to Tami Heppard, payroll manager for Pioneer Group, the firm's previous payroll and HR system was a mainframe-based system that was out of date. The outdated HR system could neither track critical workforce information nor support or strengthen future HR initiatives.
