Award winning FaxNow from OTG

One Technology Group (OTG), a member of JSE-listed Siltek Limited, SA's largest IT Supply Chain Group, is distributing RedRock Technologies' FaxNow! 2000 lite, a compact version of the faxing software for PCs that allows users to send faxes from any Windows application.

Up to five attachments can be sent in a single fax in a Windows 95, 98, or NT4 environment, using the printer driver and all recipient information, such as contact details and send method, can be saved in the fully integrated PhoneBook. The PhoneBook can also be used to print address labels.

"RedRock has a new approach to the channel and its partners because they are making the software available for free to OEM partners," says Charmaine Finniss, product manager at OTG.

The program has a choice of three cover pages and will allow users to send a fax to single or multiple recipients. Included in FaxNow! 2000 lite is a facility to stop unwanted faxes with FaxNow! "blacklist". Other Features include:

• Schedule off-peak faxing;

• Preview fax before sending;

• Automatic redial; and

• Express fax - send coverpage only

Users have the option to upgrade to the fully featured FaxNow! 2000, which will enable them to transmit faxes across the Internet and to send them directly to e-mail addresses. FaxNow! 2000 also includes support for up to two fax modems, allowing users to send and receive multiple faxes simultaneously. In addition to this there is no limit to the number of coversheets allowed and no limit to the amount of attachments that can be sent on one fax.
