Axios Systems` South African business partner, NSS, has confirmed Axios will support the launch of ISO 20000, the international standard for IT service management (ITSM).
ISO 20000 is largely based upon the British standard BS 15000, of which Axios Systems - regarded globally as the leading provider of integrated ITIL-based service desk solutions - was the first organisation in the world to achieve certification.
Lynda Odendaal, CEO at NSS, said the decision was a "significant move forward in the worldwide adoption of the standard".
She said ISO 20000 defined the service management processes which are essential for the delivery of first class, quality services.
"Achieving certification against this standard means companies can objectively prove to their customers that their services adhere to industry best practice."
Axios also recently became an accredited course provider for ISO 20000. Awarded by the itSMF (IT Service Management Forum), this will allow Axios to further prove and share its expertise in the area of ITSM best practice.
"NSS is particularly keen to help improve other organisations` knowledge of ISO 20000 and its underlying framework, ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library). We want to help them gain the kind of success we have achieved and we believe we are exceptionally well qualified to deliver such specialised training around the world."
Axios` award-winning ITSM solution, assyst, was designed from inception around ITIL and supports corporate implementation of such best practice processes.
