Local business transformation solutions provider, Ovations, has signed a partnership agreement with Axios Systems, a provider of IT service management (ITSM) solutions.
Under the agreement, Axios will train the Ovations' team on Axios' core IT service management solution, called Assyst. Axios says it will also work closely with Ovations on joint marketing initiatives.
The move comes as Axios reveals plans to extend its presence into Africa. Last year, the solutions provider noted that it's working with Kenyan companies to help them become more efficient through the implementation of ITSM technology.
Steve Botha, manager of the southern African region for Axios Systems, says: "We have been doing business in SA for some time now, but we recently decided to step up our activity as part of an aggressive global expansion strategy during the current economic environment.
“We see this as a very strong opportunity as companies seek to reduce costs, introduce greater efficiencies and manage risk - all things that our software Assyst brings about. We also believe that companies in SA will continue to invest in their IT infrastructure this year in preparation for the 2010 Soccer World Cup, which will bring with it, continued business opportunities for local companies."
Ovations MD Thys Bruwer adds that part of its expansion strategy is to offer outsourced solutions. “This solution provided by Axios is one of the best in the world and we see excellent prospects for its widespread adoption in the local market.”
