Global IT service management software firm Axios Systems, represented in South Africa by NSS, has been named among Europe`s fastest growing mid-size companies. Europe`s 500 is the list of the 500 most dynamic firms in the recently enlarged 25-nation European Union plus Switzerland, Norway and Iceland.
Compilers of the list - Entrepreneurs for Growth, Microsoft and KPMG - said these companies were "champions of growth and role models for Europe`s future", having created 130 000 jobs over the last three years while increasing turnover and employment by an average of 14% annually.
Axios Systems supplies Assyst, an award-winning help-desk and ITSM solution used by organisations to identify and track problems with their IT infrastructures, and improve management of assets. Overseas revenues are now outpacing income from its UK home base.
"Axios Systems, which has been voted best vendor three times in succession by the Help Desk Institute, has a policy of constant innovation is enabling it to continue to make excellent progress in Europe and other parts of the world, and that policy has proven itself in the South African market," says NSS CEO, Lynda Odendaal.
* In a related announcement, Axios Systems achieved its first sale in the Indian sub-continent - and immediately donated the proceeds to victims of the South Asian earthquake.
