Axis, Honeywell win high profile security contract in the Pacific region

By Axis Communications
Johannesburg, 04 Jul 2002

SCS Distribution, the sole distributor in Southern Africa for Axis Communications, today announced that Axis Communications had signed an agreement with Honeywell for the delivery of cameras and video servers to a high profile installation in the Pacific region.

Axis` partnership with Honeywell continues to prove a successful combination; together the two companies have already delivered security and surveillance solutions to a number of customers around the world. The Axis network cameras and video servers delivered within this agreement are part of a totally integrated security concept, developed by Honeywell, to address the needs of customers with high demands on flexibility and integration with other functions like passage control and fire alarms.

"We`re already well acquainted with Axis from a number of earlier installations and we know that they deliver first-class solutions. Working with a partner like Axis, with a broad experience from network-based security, helps us deliver integrated solutions that meet our customers` high demands for flexibility," says John Rajchert, General Manager, Advanced Solutions Honeywell Pacific. Honeywell joined Axis` Application Development Partner program in 2001 and offers a broad range of security, surveillance and control solutions based on Axis` network video technology.
